The Great Lakes Bay Regional Alliance (GLBRA), an eight-county region in eastern-central Michigan, engaged Silverlode to develop a regional business attraction strategy. Silverlode examined protocols and relationships within the economic development ecosystem, conducted a location factor assessment to understand the competitiveness of the region from a site selection perspective, analyzed workforce gaps, and developed a target industry analysis.
Silverlode created a marketing tool kit with talking points and industry fact sheets and a detailed action plan to attract companies to the region. Silverlode also helped with implementation, including connecting GLBRA with companies and providing support at a major trade fair in Germany for one of the recommended target industries.
